How Cast Iron Pump Body works:

Cast Iron Pump Body sends water out through centrifugal force. Before the water pump works, the pump body and water inlet pipe need to be filled with water to create a vacuum. As the impeller rotates, the water is rapidly rotated and thrown out of the impeller by centrifugal force. After the water is thrown out, a vacuum zone is formed in the center of the impeller. Under the action of atmospheric pressure or water pressure, water from the water source is forced into the water inlet pipe through the pipe network. This cycle achieves continuous water pumping. The Cast Iron Pump Body must be filled with water before starting, otherwise it will cause the pump body to heat up, vibrate, no water comes out, and run idling, causing damage to the water pump or equipment accidents.

【cause of issue】

1. The water quality of Cast Iron Pump Body is poor.

2. The faucet filter or water inlet speaker is too close to the sediment, or placed in the sediment.

3. The water pump assembly quality is poor and does not meet the specified requirements.

4. The water pump impeller nut is loosened frequently or for a long time, causing the impeller to loosen and wear eccentrically.

5. The water pump often works under cavitation conditions, which increases the degree of cavitation damage to the water pump.

【Repair method】

1. Check the water quality of the Cast Iron Pump Body, and take measures such as well cleaning and setting up waste fences to improve the water quality and reduce the sand content and debris content.

2. Raise or hoist the water pump faucet and water inlet horn to keep them at least 0.5 meters away from the sediment.

3. Open the Cast Iron Pump Body, check the installation of the sealing ring and impeller, repair or adjust it, and ensure the installation accuracy when reassembling. When assembling a mechanical seal, clean the dynamic and stationary rings and apply lubricant to prevent collisions.

4. Eliminate cavitation factors, improve anti-cavitation performance, and appropriately reduce the installation height of the water pump.

5. Check the impeller for wear and fixation. If there is any problem, remove it for repair or replacement.
